Geez that Koala is a rank looking object. The stuff of nightmares for any kid unfortunate enough to be coaxed into the belly of the beast.

It's funny that there actually is a big potato, we used to call the big Ayers Rock at North Arm NSW the big potato until it burned down.

It had to be the giant turd , you used to be able to walk inside it , but the council closed it up because people were going inside and taking a giant shit in it , so not only does it look like a turd it’s also full of turds

Now think about the 'extreme excitement' of driving across the whole country to see the Shittest Big Thing!!! Pulling up out front of it and marvelling in awe at it's beauty and splendour. Yep! my imagination draws me to the Giant Turd. It's a winner!!! 😍

Oh why oh why must I choose between Captain Cook and a giant Spud? Surely they have equal standing in the Australian culture? Would not a tie for first speak more clearly of our relative values downunder?

I remember when the bin was completed as I grew up in Kalgoorlie. It was done as part of a Guinness Book or Records challenge by the kids for the high school in the late 70s :) Still shot though, to be sure. I always laugh when I drive by it 😁😁
